Flavorful and versatile, with a little advanced planning Tandoori Salmon is an easy weeknight meal that goes with everything: basmati rice, roti, naan and more
Hey Vivek! Loved watching this Since you mentioned ‘naan’ and ‘roti’, can you tell me which brands you like the best? I’m not a fan of TJs though I think their frozen is better than what is in their bread department. Thanks!
So glad you watched the video. Yes, I can suggest some Naan and Roti brands. In a perfect world we would make these flatbreads from scratch -- but that is a A LOT of work. So my shortcut is to buy Stonefire brand Naan. They have garlic and plan and both are good. https://www.stonefire.com/. I get these at Costco.
On Roti - there is no national brand that I have gotten into. What I often do is to pickup a pack of rotis from the Indian store. Usually they will make them fresh on-site and I like those the best.
You can even use whole wheat tortillas as a substitute (esp. if they are the fatter artisan or hand-made kind).
A few frozen brands I've had several times that might be convenient are Haldiram's, from India. Usually in the Indian store freezer.
There's also another brand called Deep: https://www.sayweee.com/en/product/Deep-ClayOven-Tandoori-Naan-Family-Pack/107404 and yet another where the roti is uncooked, and that's kind of nice because you put it on a hot flame and it will puff up like they're supposed to (phulka roti). Phulka is a light, steam-puffed-from-the inside roti.
